Savannah Science

This is Savannah^^

Maybe you know her..

On February 3rd, Sage Creek Elementary had its 5th grade Science Fair..

We ARE NOT great Science Fair people..

{heck, we're not even good Science Fair people}

We once left Chelsea's Science Fair project to the day before it was due..

{like, we didn't even have an idea..} But THAT is another story..

Savannah was a smarty and chose to have a partner..

This is wise for 2 reasons:

1. Someone else is depending on us to get this project done

2. Her partner really gets in to the Science Fair

To make a long story short.. Savannah & Tessa got first place!!

{just a note.. everyone who moves on to the District Science Fair is in "first place"}

BUT STILL!!

Savannah is not really a fan of getting up in front of people, so she was, we'll say, less than thrilled..

In fact, when I told her to call her dad to tell him the news, the conversation went something like this:

S: "Dad, bad news.."

D: "Oh no! What?" {thinking something is really wrong}

S: "I'm moving on to District for the Science Fair.."

{I give HUGE credit to Tessa's mother.. She was fabulous at keeping them on task, making them do things right, making them do things over {and over!} if they didn't do it right, and most importantly..

MAKING SURE THEY DID IT THEMSELVES,

AND ALSO KNEW WHAT IT WAS THEY DID!!!}

Fast forward to last night, February 24th..

The District Science Fair..

So GUESS WHAT??

They have moved on - AGAIN!!!

This time its at BYU!!

I wish you could have seen the look on Savannah's face when their names were called..

{we won't call it joy..}

AND we got another classic quote from her..

Davy: "Savannah!! That's so awesome!!"

Savannah: "Dad! I didn't want to move on AGAIN!!"

D: "Honey, don't worry about winning!! Just look at it as a great experience!!"

S: "SURE! That's easy for you to say.. The problem is WE KEEP ON WINNING!!"

Well..

We were excited for her!!
